About

The UBC Health Practice Education Portal is designed to foster the identification, development and utilization of educational resources aimed at supporting team-based care or collaborative practice essential to the training of pre-licensure students.

The Portal is an online library for storing, managing and sharing practice education resources (learning objects).

Examples of learning objects include:

  • Quizzes
  • Presentations
  • Images
  • Rubrics
  • Reflective tools
  • Exercises
  • Modules
  • Videos
  • Cases
  • Or any other kind of object used for clinical education

With funding from the UBC Teaching Learning Enhancement Fund, the UBC Health Practice Education Committee members conducted an environmental scan and literature review of clinical education resources used to support the teaching and learning of collaborative practice to begin this emergent collection of educational objects.

Accessible Anywhere, Anytime

This Portal is available anywhere you have online access, making it very accessible for the classroom or placement setting. Once you register online, you’ll have access to resources and tools to help support teaching and learning for collaborative practice in the clinical placement setting.

Help Build the Portal – Submit a Resource

The Portal team actively invites authors, owners and contributors of educational materials that support collaborative practice to submit their works for publication on this website. See Submitting Resources to the Portal for more information on submission requirements.
