This collection of resources contains teaching and learning resources that help the user support and develop collaborative practice within the practice education environment.
Activity #1 – Reflection on an Interprofessional Education Session is a useful guide for learners (students) that take part in interprofessional education sessions during their clinical placement. Students are provided a list of different types of educational sessions they can participate in while on their clinical placement, along with a list of potential learning objectives and pre- and post-session reflection questions, which may be modified depending on the context of the learning that the student receives.

The Preceptor eLearning Course is a useful set of modules for preceptors that are hoping to improve upon their skillset as mentors to students.
The modules are designed to provide information and support to preceptors and focus of five different topics: the preceptor role, teaching & learning, evaluating students & delivering feedback, supporting students, and fostering interprofessional learning experiences.

TBC on the Run is an open access online module series designed to promote collaborative models of practice and support the development of team-based competencies. This online module series is based on the National Interprofessional Competency Framework developed by the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative (
www.cihc-cpis.com).
The TBC on the Run module series includes:
1. Foundations of TBC
2. Interprofessional Communication
3. Patient/Client/family/Community-Centred Care
4. Role Clarification
5. Team Functioning
6. Interprofessional Conflict Management
7. Collaborative Leadership for Shared Decision-Making
Each module takes 30 minutes to complete online individually and provides activities and resources to engage with others.

The National Interprofessional Competency Framework, created by the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative (CIHC), is a useful resource for all learners (students and educators) that are hoping to gain a sound understanding of the six different competencies of interprofessional education. These competencies are well-researched and can be utilized by the educating community as important cornerstones when building and facilitating interprofessional curricula. For students, the competency framework can serve as a guide for continual growth and learning in an interprofessional practice setting. The CIHC literature review, which guided the development of the framework, can be accessed here.

The Facilitator Guide is a useful compilation of tools and strategies for facilitators that are hoping to orchestrate student interactivity that is needed for effective interprofessional learning.
The guide introduces the concept of and highlights the importance of interprofessional education. It also provides effective facilitation strategies for reflections and discussions, whether they be online or in-person. The Grab and Go Guide (also available as a separate resource) is incorporated into this guide.

The Grab and Go Guide is a useful resource for learners (students) that wish to understand and reflect upon their interprofessional learning experience and for clinical educators who wish to facilitate conversation among students during an interprofessional activity/event.
The guide provides reflection questions that allows for consideration of all 6 Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative Competencies (role clarification, team functioning, collaborative leadership, patient/client/family-centered care, conflict resolution, and interprofessional communication) as well as for general collaboration, and can be used on an individual or group basis.
